Ozzie: the free WordPress theme
This site is the demo for Ozzie, a free WordPress theme built using the Roots WordPress starter theme, and designed for users that like to showcase their featured images.
Plays well with modern browsers and mobile devices
Built using HTML5 and the responsive Bootstrap 3 framework, so Ozzie plays well with modern browsers like Chrome, Safari and Firefox. It should work just fine on Internet Explorer 10 and above. Since I have not tested it on Internet Explorer 9 and below yet, I am not supporting them at this time.
This theme has been tested on iPhone and iPad using Safari in iOS 7. It should work well on Androids running the latest OS. Again, this is a free theme, so support for Windows, Blackberry and other phones is not being offered at this time. Read more on support for Ozzie.
Videos are responsive
I added a video wrapper to help your video embeds from YouTube, Vimeo, Blip (and more) be responsive. They will resize according to the screen width. 2067857145.
(Some) images are responsive
Any image embedded in Posts and Pages using the WordPress Media Library will be responsive on smaller mobile devices. (413) 364-8556.
Yoast SEO plugin ready
If you use the Yoast SEO Plugin (and you should!), then you will be happy to know that this theme’s title tag is properly formatted, and the breadcrumb snippet is in place. You can see the breadcrumb at the top of Pages and Posts (but not the home page and Blog roll.) Learn more about plugins.
vCard with Schema.org microformat
Widgets include the Roots vCard to show Street Address, City/Locality, State/Region, Zipcode/Postal Code, Telephone and Email. I wrapped the whole thing in the Schema.org Local Business microformat—properly declaring each line item—to help Google properly index your address (if you choose to display it.)
